Summary:

The Data Integration Engineer reports to the Director of Pipeline Integrity. This position involves diverse involvement in various aspects of the company's business related to pipeline integrity, defect evaluations, and operations. This position requires periodic travel to field locations, training, and company meetings.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Support Integrity Engineers by being the subject matter expert (SME) for OneBridge.

  • Initiate lessons learned, develop guidance documents, be the liaison between GIS and OneBridge, and provide training when needed.

* Lead continuous improvement efforts for the OneBridge software.

* Work with GIS to develop new reports that integrate different datasets and to enhance current reports.

* Support the Company's Integrity Management Plan (IMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in risk assessment, data integration, anomaly evaluation, remediation programs, integrity program evaluation, and identification of preventive and mitigative measures.

* Review risk model(s) for specific assets, including coordination of data collection, understanding the risk algorithms, reviewing, and confirming results, and utilizing the risk output.

* Utilize engineering tools such as DRAS software, GIS database interactive maps, and pipeline integrity data sheets to identify potential risks and track program progress on specific lines.

* Assists in inspections by PHMSA and other regulatory bodies by acting as an SME on pipeline inspections, data, records, and program execution.

* Assists in developing improvements to the company's Integrity Management Plan, including the written plan, procedures, best practices, and processes.

* Collect and provide Pipeline Integrity related data for performance metrics, required annual reporting, and help monitor key performance indicators for assigned assets.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

    * Graduate engineer with BS in Engineering discipline.

    * 5-10 years of related experience

    * Experience in pipeline operations, pipeline design, pipeline repair, and pipeline integrity issues such as corrosion control, pipeline assessment and fitness for service evaluation, risk management, DOT Code requirements, and compliance.

    * The position requires a candidate with excellent oral and written communication skills.

    * A highly developed ability with PCs and office computer software is required.

    * Must be a self-starter and self-motivator ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Education and Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    * Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum engineering degree preferred.

    * Prior experience utilizing OneBridge's CIM software.

    Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

    • The Engineer level requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 3-6 years of relevant job related experience
    • The Senior Engineer level requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering disciplineand 6-10 years of relevant job related experience
    • The Staff Engineer level requires Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 10+ years of relevant job related experience

    Working Conditions:

    The work environment characteristics described here represent those employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

    * Normal office working conditions with approximately 10% of the time in the field.

    * Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

    * Overnight travel will be required.

    * The position is based in industrial settings, including hazardous materials and chemicals, extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and requires appropriate personal protective equipment.
