RK&K is hiring Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection ( CEI ) team in the Salisbury, NC area. As a Construction Inspector with RK&K you will inspect and document various complex and standard heavy civil construction projects related to highways , roadways , bridges , tunnels , and related transportation facilities.

Essential Functions:

The ideal candidate for this position will work independently with North Carolina Department Of Transportation and contractors while being responsible for:

• Construction Inspectors Work on various roadway and bridge projects within the region's geographic area
• Oversight of contractor's quality control operations
• Quality Assurance sampling and testing
• Completion of Daily Sampling and Testing Reports
• Data input in SiteManager / LIMS
• Daily communication with client, contractor, and field project personnel

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

• 2 years of prior experience providing inspection services
• Candidates must be trustworthy and responsible
• Understand how to read and follow test specifications
• Excellent driving record

NCDOT Certifications as followed:

• NCDOT Erosion & Sediment Control Level II
• NCDOT Introduction to Asphalt Pavements
• NCDOT QMS Roadway Technician
• NCDOT Concrete Field Technician
• ACI Concrete Field Technician
• NCDOT ABC Sampling Technician
• NCDOT Borrow Pit Sampling Technician
• NCDOT Conventional Density Technician
• NICET Certifications
